There’s something truly special about that first step into school life—wide eyes, big dreams, and a backpack full of possibilities.

These mini sessions are set in a genuine vintage school setup, inspired by the treasured portraits my own parents had taken on their very first day. The photo above is of my dad on his first day of school—now pictured beside my son George, proudly continuing the tradition.

We also offer a classic canvas backdrop for a simpler, timeless portrait. And if you can’t decide? Choose a combo session to capture both styles—with and without the uniform, for memories that feel both nostalgic and new.

Turning five is a moment to remember. Let’s capture it—just like generations before.

VINTAGE DESK
SETUP

At the heart of these sessions is my beautiful old school desk, lovingly filled with vintage treasures I’ve collected over the years—each piece chosen to bring a little bit of history and charm to your child’s first school portrait.

There’s something so timeless and playful about this setup. Children love exploring the little details, and it brings a sense of magic and wonder to the experience—just like the portraits from generations past.

For schools without a uniform, we also have a small selection of vintage-inspired outfits on hand, adding an extra nostalgic touch to your little one’s big milestone.

Let’s capture this moment just like they used to—full of character, charm, and a whole lot of heart.

CLASSIC CANVAS

A classically styled session for if simple is more your style. This includes your choice of backdrop (white, cream or dark brown) plus studio wardrobe.

*Animals are not included! But if you have your own hogwarts-themed small pet, you are more than welcome to bring it along - just please flick me an email to double-check first.

PAYMENT

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. The remaining balance will be invoiced the week prior to your photoshoot.
